The hospitality sector in Abu Dhabi recorded the highest average hotel room rate among all emirates in the first quarter of 2021. According to the report, the price per night in the hotel in the capital of the UAE amounted to approximately 430 US dollars.
This is the highest indicator among all emirates, and it exceeds the average level in the region by 51 percent. Nevertheless, compared to the data for the first quarter of last year, the cost of living in Abu Dhabi hotels decreased by 2 percent.
According to experts, the introduction of new hospitality objects and increased competition in this area contribute to lowering prices for accommodation. “Overall, we see that the structure of accommodation costs in hotels continues to change due to increased supply and decreased competition,” noted one of the specialists in the field of hospitality.
Nevertheless, Abu Dhabi remains one of the most popular destinations for tourists, and the authorities continue to invest in the development of infrastructure and the tourism sector.
