The certificates created by the Department of Energy allow organizations in Abu Dhabi to confirm that the electricity they use comes from clean energy sources, and also help companies and individuals reduce carbon emissions. It is important to note that the water and electricity company ADWEA plays a key role in the implementation of the clean energy certification program, being the sole registrar and trading organization.
