ADNOC announced on Tuesday the signing of a 15-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement with Shell. Under the terms of the deal, ADNOC will supply up to one million tons of LNG per year to Shell International Trading Middle East Limited, Free Zone, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell plc. This agreement, signed at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC 2025), marks the first long-term LNG sales and purchase agreement between ADNOC and Shell. It is the eighth such agreement for the Ruwais project, with commercial operations proceeding according to the established schedule.
