Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between EDGE Group and Leonardo in June of this year, confirming their intent to establish a joint venture in Abu Dhabi leveraging their strategic partnership, the two parties announced on Wednesday another significant step towards achieving this common goal. EDGE and Leonardo have completed a preliminary assessment of technology transfer activities and market potential, alongside defining the fundamental governance principles for the joint venture. Based on this, the parties will proceed to launch the joint venture in 2026. In this regard, a new agreement concerning this matter was signed during the Dubai Air Show 2025. Accordingly, EDGE will hold a 51% stake in the joint venture.
