The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has launched the 'Brands Market', the first digital platform for buying and selling trading brands of its kind in the UAE and the region. Developed by the 'UAE Government Leaders Program', this platform represents a new national project added to the innovative and competitive environment of intellectual property and the branding sector in the country. The platform aims to make a qualitative leap in the branding industry, driving it to higher levels of growth and prosperity, and enhancing the UAE's appeal to global companies and brands. Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marar stated at a press conference in Abu Dhabi that the new digital platform for trading brands, which launched today, provides a secure and transparent environment for registered brand owners to trade, connecting them with investors and entrepreneurs. Bin Touq expects the number of brands in the country to increase by 20% within a year of the platform's launch, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and family businesses. He added that trading operations will be limited to national and international brands registered in the UAE.
