Travel Guard, a travel insurance company and a subsidiary of the Zurich Insurance Group, has revealed that Abu Dhabi has topped the list of the most sought-after luxury tourist destinations for American travelers this year. The emirate secured the first place in a global analysis of Google search trends, showing a staggering increase.
The study analyzed searches for the ten most luxurious travel destinations that Americans were looking for in 2026. Abu Dhabi recorded the highest growth, at 421%. It was followed by other popular destinations:

- Macau, China — +87%
- Da Nang, Vietnam — +83%
- Tallinn, Estonia — +39%
- Aswan, Egypt — +35%
- Tokyo, Japan — +34%
