Abu Dhabi is solidifying its position as a global hub for culture and tourism through a comprehensive strategy and vision focused on developing cultural projects, enhancing culture's role in supporting sustainable development, diversifying the economy, and reinforcing the emirate's status as a leading center for knowledge, creativity, and civilizational dialogue.

The Cultural District on Saadiyat Island hosts a number of world-class museums and cultural institutions that highlight human heritage and foster cultural exchange between peoples, offering integrated educational and entertaining cultural experiences. Museums and cultural landmarks provide visitors with a platform to explore the emirate's cultural scene and engage with culture and arts for all segments of society.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism confirmed that museums and cultural sites in the emirate, particularly those in the Saadiyat Cultural District, continue to receive visitors as usual, enhancing the visitor experience and providing an inspiring cultural environment that attracts arts and knowledge enthusiasts from around the world.

The Saadiyat Cultural District includes several prominent global cultural landmarks, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which serves as a bridge for dialogue between civilizations through its art collections that spotlight human history, alongside the Zayed National Museum, which narrates the story of the UAE and the legacy of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God rest his soul, shedding light on the region's history and civilizational development.

The district also features the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, offering a scientific and educational journey showcasing Earth's history and biodiversity, as well as the Phenomenon Abu Dhabi, which merges art and technology through innovative interactive experiences. It also includes the upcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi project, set to elevate the emirate's status as a global center for modern and contemporary art.

Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, emphasized that culture is the essence of Abu Dhabi's identity and the primary driver of sustainable growth, noting that preserving, protecting, and sharing culture with the world reflects society's values and serves as a beacon guiding toward a shared future—a path laid by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God rest his soul.

He explained that culture is a living legacy embodying a long history of values, experiences, and traditions passed down through generations, forming a cornerstone in building a cohesive society. It also strengthens identity and belonging, provides a platform for dialogue between diverse cultures, and stimulates innovation and creativity to address societal challenges.

Al Mubarak highlighted that Abu Dhabi's investments in the cultural sector continue to yield consistent achievements, with museums, exhibitions, and cultural institutions transforming from concepts on blueprints into vibrant spaces for knowledge and inspiration that foster pride and belonging, linking the past, present, and future.

He added that the Saadiyat Cultural District stands as one of the world's most ambitious cultural clusters and a global platform for dialogue and creativity. Meanwhile, the Zayed National Museum allows visitors to explore the UAE's history spanning thousands of years, where the 'To Our Ancestors' gallery houses material evidence of humanity's journey on this land, including a Paleolithic stone tool dating back approximately 300,000 years, embodying the resilience and innovative spirit of the people of this land.
