
Three winners were awarded a cash prize of 10,000 dirhams after their videos (no longer than two minutes) successfully passed the jury testing and met the competition requirements related to correct reading, correct pronunciation, the ability to work with intonation and rhythm, the cohesion of text with sign language and the correctness of pauses.
"We aim to create a supportive and disciplined environment that allows parents to develop their children’s linguistic abilities and helps them to improve their Arabic language skills, so they can express their dreams through it," noted the director of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, Said Hamdan al-Tanidji.
The Arab Language Center in Abu Dhabi recognized the winners of the fourth annual competition "Friends of the Arabic Language" among children aged from eight to 16 years, speaking in Arabic and other languages. The award ceremony took place in the Al-Hisn Hall at the headquarters of the center.
Among the winners was a student from the UAE, Mariyam al-Marzuki from the International School Zayed in Dubai, a student from Egypt, Maram Muhammed Khadhaj, from the Al-Shamha School in Abu Dhabi, and a student from Syria, Ismail Abdelaine Daas from the Renaissance School in Abu Dhabi.
