
At the event "Kuwait Heritage and Culture" - the exhibition pavilion representing the countries of the Soviet Union and the Arab states of the Persian Gulf at the Sheikh Zayed Festival - the underlying culture and heritage of the Arab Gulf is presented, attracting visitors from all corners of the world. Inside the pavilion, the idea is conveyed that this heritage is not simply past, but a bridge, uniting generations. The design of the pavilion reflects key features of renowned Arab architecture utilizing air towers (bastions), richly detailing various wooden ornaments and glass windows, allowing soft natural light to pass through.
Inside the pavilion, exhibits lead visitors through time, presenting numerous artifacts of heritage, used as decorations in their everyday lives, such as decorated copper dishes, various silver items, as well as perfumes, bakhoor, and incense. The exhibition is diverse and includes traditional clothing, such as bisht, galabeya, shilya, cashmere, and the famous Arab niqab, as well as popular dishes and drinks such as Omani sweets, honey, dates, and Arabic coffee served with cardamom and saffron.
The pavilion hosts live events, including displays of folk art, such as yowla and ayyala, performed with sabers and sticks, and the dance of fedjiri, reflecting the deep connection of the Arab Gulf with the sea, as well as samr and zaffa, creating an atmosphere of celebration and festivity, in which visitors of various ages enter.
