Zayed Sports Championship Kicks Off Tomorrow in Abu Dhabi

Tomorrow, in Emirates, the children's tournament Sheikh Zayed Sports Tournament 2025 will take place at the venue 'Exploration' in Abu Dhabi. The competition, which starts tomorrow, is held in collaboration and partnership with the Higher Council for Maternal and Child Health and the Sports Council of Abu Dhabi from March 2 to March 16. The tournament will bring together the best sports talents from various emirates.

The long history of the tournament is made by the regular annual tradition. This tournament has become a major participant in the sports life in the emirates since its inception in 1997. During this time, it has attracted over 42 thousand participants and 69 thousand spectators, with 716 teams participating. The overall prize fund of the tournament amounted to 28.9 million dirhams.

This year, Sheikh Zayed Sports Tournament 2025, taking place at the venue 'Exploration' in Abu Dhabi, is famous for hosting other competitions in football (for under 10 and 12 years) and other sports types, such as jiu-jitsu, chess, gymnastics, and swimming. The overall prize fund of 104 thousand dirhams will be distributed among the winners.

The General Director of the tournament, Colonel Mohammed Khalid al-Kaabi, noted: 'This tournament is not just a competition, it embodies the spirit of the team, the dedication, and the values that were instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. We eagerly await the meeting with young talents and their families in this unforgettable sporting experience.'

He added: 'The Sheikh Zayed Sports Tournament 2025 represents an ideal opportunity for strengthening family and community ties, creating an inspiring atmosphere of friendly competition and a shared passion for sports in our society this year.'
