The third edition of the Abu Dhabi Government Games has started, featuring over 2000 participants from 45 government entities. Competing in 11 sports, the event promotes healthy lifestyles.

The competitions of the third edition of Abu Dhabi Government Games have begun, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with the participation of more than 2000 employees representing more than 45 governmental structures from the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The events will run until the 19th of this month.

The competitions include 11 different sports, including football, shooting, rowing, fitness, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, chess, and badminton. All events will take place at the "Abu Dhabi Cricket Sports Hub" and also at the international sports resort "Ryzary", while the races will be organized as part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al-Wathba and cycling on the track in Al-Wathba for bicycles.

According to the press release from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the tournament is held in honor of the blessed month of Ramadan within the framework of the corporate charity and development program aimed at improving the positive impact on employees, their professional and personal relationships, as well as their health and well-being.

Teams and individual participants representing governmental structures will compete for a cash prize exceeding 1.3 million dirhams. Events start at 9:00 PM.

The Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Aareef Al-Awani, noted that the third edition of the tournament will contribute to stimulating governmental employees towards a healthy lifestyle, as well as strengthening relations between them in a positive sports environment, encouraging them to make sports a part of their daily lives to improve the quality of life overall.
