Since its establishment, the Center has highlighted the achievements of about 32 creative women from various countries, including awards such as the Sheikh Zayed Prize for Literature, the Golden Prize in the field of Journalism, and the Pocolen Prize. On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Center offers various forms of support for women’s participation in cultural, Arab, and global society, as well as for enhancing their efforts, creative potential, and enlightening role.
Dr. Ali bin Tamim, head of the Arab Center in Abu Dhabi, noted that "women in Arab culture have not remained on the sidelines from their male colleagues, occupying leading positions in social, intellectual, innovative, and creative spheres." "Moral leadership in the United Arab Emirates focuses on strengthening and developing women, ensuring the necessary support and new opportunities for continuing their contribution and achieving their goals and ambitions."
He also expressed pride in the achievements of women in the UAE, especially highlighting the importance of the contributions of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as "Mother of the Nation," in realizing efforts to activate women’s participation in the unique developed trajectory of the UAE. Dr. Tamim emphasized that the Center in Abu Dhabi actively supports women's involvement in creative industries through various programs and strategies, which contributed to the recognition of 32 women from different countries across three Center awards, including the Sheikh Zayed Prize for Literature, which was awarded to 25 creative individuals.
