Tomorrow, the "Sheikh Zayed Championship during Ramadan" will kick off in Abu Dhabi, organized by the Higher Committee of the Festival and the Sports Council of Abu Dhabi with the support of the National Bank of Emirates. Competitions will continue until March 19.

The organizing committee emphasizes that the tournament offers a complete sports and entertainment atmosphere, uniting challenges and satisfaction thanks to engaging competitions that encourage active community involvement in sports activities.

The tournament will feature significant prizes totaling over one million dirhams to stimulate competition and attract a wide array of participants. The prizes include 180,000 dirhams for semi-professional football, 60,000 each for badminton and beach volleyball, 127,000 for running, 113,000 for cycling, 155,000 for traditional games (kite flying and tug of war), 35,000 for badminton and table tennis, and also chess.

Visitors will be able to participate in weekly draws and entertaining events with the chance to win various prizes and exclusive gifts.

The tournament is considered one of the largest and most significant sporting events of Ramadan in the country and expects a wide participation from representatives of various communities. It aims to enhance the status of the Sheikh Zayed festival as a main venue for major sporting events during Ramadan and for the promotion of physical activity culture among community members.

The total number of sports represented in the tournament comprises ten: semi-professional football, badminton, beach volleyball, running, cycling, traditional games (kite flying and tug of war), badminton, table tennis, and chess.
