On the previous day, the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi hosted the opening of the second edition of the Forum of Publishers of the United Arab Emirates, organized by the Center for the Arabic Language in Abu Dhabi with the support of the United Arab Emirates Publishers Association. The event was organized within the framework of the Center's efforts to develop the local publishing industry and support Emirati publishers.

At the forum, the first initiative of a public campaign to support sustainable reading was launched, initiated by the Center to enhance the National Reading Month under the slogan "UAE Reads", which featured a section of electronic books from the initiative "Support for Copyright" for the year 2025 for Emirati publishers with the aim of enriching the Arabic digital library with quality local publications and associating the leadership course on the need to support Emirati creators.

Fifty Emirati publishers, specializing in literature, science, children's literature, digital and audio publications, as well as copyright, participated in the forum. The events discussed the efforts of the Center to support Emirati publishers and the development of content in the Arabic language, as well as publishing initiatives at local and international levels.

The acting director of the Arabic Language Center in Abu Dhabi and the director of the International Book Fair in Abu Dhabi Said Hamdan al-Tanaji stated: "The Center's goal is to actively participate in the development of the publishing sector at local and international levels by presenting quality projects and programs that align with its strategic vision for strengthening the position of the Arabic language. At the next International Book Forum in Abu Dhabi, 500 grants will be offered for Emirati publishers as part of the initiative 'Support for Copyright', which will help transform printed books into digital and audio format."

The acting director of the United Arab Emirates Publishers Association Rashid al-Koos emphasized: "The Arab culture has a multitude of secrets, and therefore it is important to explore ways for their dissemination to different cultures and civilizations, as well as reveal their beauty and value. In the United Arab Emirates Publishers Association, we value the important role played by the Arabic Language Center and the International Book Fair in Abu Dhabi in supporting Emirati publishers. Today, we need to unite to support our Emirati and Arab culture, and current cultural innovations represent an excellent opportunity for all publishers to showcase themselves in the intellectual and cultural production."
