The Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon has received long-term support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Adnoc company. Under the terms of the strategic agreement, Adnoc will continue its title sponsorship of the Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon until 2027, covering the years 2025, 2026, and 2027. This agreement aims to strengthen a sustainable sporting lifestyle and support a healthy way of living. Adnoc maintains its primary partnership role in the marathon throughout the upcoming year, striving to enhance the status of the event as a leading sporting and community event.
Arif Hamad al-Awani, the Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Saif al-Falahy, the head of the Business Support and Special Tasks Department at Adnoc, signed the agreement. The marathon has expanded its geography, including a desert run of 10 km and a half marathon in Al-Ain.
Al-Awani emphasized the importance of supporting the overall sporting goal, noting that the marathon this year has received added significance within the framework of the "Year of Community," becoming an open platform for the participation of all layers of society and strengthening community ties.
Saif al-Falahy expressed pride that the sponsorship continues, noting that the Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon has become a prestigious annual event, attracting widespread public participation and elite international athletes. The Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon is recognized as one of the most important annual sporting events in the country, drawing thousands of participants from around the world since its inception in 2018. In the previous edition of the marathon in December of last year, a record was set with more than 33,000 participants.
