The event organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center was dedicated to 15 outstanding schools from the regions of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, as well as schools of the Al Dar Education group with its 10 branches, showcasing their outstanding achievements and quality interaction within the framework of the "At Home and in Schools" competition. The events lasted several months and were part of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair's public program. Its aim was to deepen connections between the youth and books, as well as transforming the educational environment into an active nest for creativity, learning, and cultural interaction.
This year, the competition, an annual event focused on integrating cultural work in educational institutions, showed a record participation - it involved 3562 students. More than 14,674 participants from 25 schools, both public and private, including 203 providers and educators, actively participated in additional events, reflecting general interactions that exceeded 18,236 participants.
Schools represented creative productions, distinguished by diversity and innovation. This included theatrical performances, video fragments, drawings, literary and technical research, as well as initiatives on social media platforms, inspired by four thematic directions of the competition.
The center emphasized that the competition is not only an educational event but also an interactive experience aimed at connecting students with cultural content through the use of contemporary tools and creative approaches. It highlighted the importance of schools as cultural and community centers, allowing the initiation of educational projects capable of influencing beyond the boundaries of classroom walls.
The thematic directions, such as "Person of the Year," "Book of the World," and "Ghost of the Month," enhanced the international context of the exhibition, emphasizing the importance of openness to other cultures and establishing connections between the Arab heritage and major global concepts, such as dialogue, innovation, and sustainable knowledge.
Through these initiatives, the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center continues to achieve its strategic goals, affirming Abu Dhabi's status as a regional and international center for book production and informative content, supporting the development of cultural sectors and facilitating the process of shaping an active readership and participant in the formation of future knowledge in the Arabic language.
