The Sheikh Zayed Book Award has announced the longlists for its 20th edition for 2025–2026 in the categories of 'Literature', 'Young Author', 'Children's and Young Adult Literature', and 'Manuscript Criticism'. This coincides with the beginning of the judging committees' comprehensive evaluation of all entries shortlisted for the longlists. In its 20th cycle, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, the Award received over 4,000 submissions from 74 countries, including 21 Arab and 53 foreign nations. Notably, countries participating for the first time, such as Chile, Iceland, and Luxembourg, reflect the Award's growing international presence and its standing in the global cultural landscape.
