The Zayed National Museum marks one month since its opening, welcoming visitors from the UAE and around the world, reinforcing its status as a new hub for cultural interaction, research, and learning in the UAE. Over a full month, museum visitors explored the nation's history and learned about the legacy of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. To celebrate its launch, the Zayed National Museum hosted a vibrant program of activities across its indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring guided tours, live performances, lectures, family-oriented educational activities, and a variety of experiences that celebrate the UAE's rich heritage and culture. Highlights included traditional Raffa and Liwa performances, an interactive Emirati coffee experience developed in collaboration with Coffee House, accompanied by poetry evenings, Taghrooda art, songs of the sea, mountain lamentations, and storytelling sessions, as well as musical evenings. Interactive workshops focused on traditional crafts and arts inspired by the museum's narratives and collections. The museum also launched 'Between the Lines of our Emirati History' tours in Emirati Sign Language, led by experience specialists from the deaf community. As part of the 'Fajr Hour' program, senior citizens and residents participated in creating an illustrated 'Al-Ittihad' magazine, inspired by a 3,000-year-old axe on display in the 'Within Our Bonds' hall. Academic interaction was a key focus, as the museum hosted over 120 participants at the 85th conference of 'Arab Studies', held for the first time in the Arab world in collaboration with the International Association for the Study of Arabia under the theme 'Discovering History, Preserving Heritage, and Enriching Humanity'. Presented research topics ranged from early exploratory expeditions to contemporary research led by the region, and multidisciplinary collaboration, deepening the understanding of the region's history, identity, and heritage. The museum also opened a variety of restaurants and cafes, including 'Erth' as the museum's main dining restaurant, alongside Ghaf Cafe and Garden Corners: Rukan, Safford Bay Twins, and Sidrat Artisans. The Zayed National Museum's Public Program continues its activities, offering more events, exhibitions, tours, and workshops throughout the year.
