The body will be laid to rest tomorrow after the Asr prayer at the Al Bateen Cemetery in Abu Dhabi. Syrian Mohammad Qadssi is considered one of the few journalists who witnessed the announcement of the union and the raising of the state flag at the Guest Palace in Dubai. He was the first television broadcaster to announce the historic event to the people of the UAE on December 2, 1971, via the country's then-only official station, Abu Dhabi TV.
