The International Astronomy Center published today an image of the crescent of Ramadan 1447 AH, as photographed during the day from Abu Dhabi by the Al-Khatm Observatory. The center announced on its official account on X that the image was taken at 10:30 AM UAE time, when the moon was 9.8 degrees away from the sun and was 16.6 hours old. This publication is part of the center's efforts to monitor the new moons and confirm the precise beginnings of the Hijri months.
