Louvre Abu Dhabi Unveils Ramadan Program

The Louvre Abu Dhabi welcomes its visitors during the holy month of Ramadan with a rich program of experiences that celebrate contemplation, culture, and the spirit of community. From a major exhibition and a special Ramadan celebration to inspiring talks, guided tours, film screenings, and seasonal cooking workshops, the museum offers unique moments that strengthen social bonds. Throughout the blessed month, the museum creates a space for shared experiences that highlight heritage, creativity, and communication. Among its key exhibitions is 'Picasso. The Shape of Form', a major solo exhibition of one of the most prominent artists in modern art. The exhibition traces the artist's lifelong obsession with the human figure and showcases pivotal works from the Musée National Picasso-Paris, alongside works on loan from international institutions. Featuring over 130 artworks, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see iconic paintings up close, tracing Picasso's exploration of form from his early Cubist experiments to his classical and Surrealist works, and his bold late-career paintings, exploring timeless themes in modern art such as love, identity, creativity, and transformation. In the exhibition 'The Bird Logic', visitors discover how the enduring symbolic epic of Farid al-Din Attar has become a global symbol of humanity's quest for meaning. Dr. Bilal Alrafih delves into the symbolic depth and emotional dimension of Attar's poetry, showing how this centuries-old symbolism continues to unite hearts and minds across cultures. Beyond the arts, the museum will host a screening of the film 'The Red Turtle', inspired by the Abu Dhabi project for the rehabilitation of sea turtles in collaboration with the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi and the Environment Agency. The film tells the story of a man whose ship is wrecked on a tropical island inhabited by turtles, crabs, and birds, and narrates the pivotal moments of human life.
