The race will begin from Wahat Al-Karama and will see wide participation from all segments of society in an event that combines sports and national spirit. The Organizing Committee confirmed that the race is held to enhance community awareness of the importance of physical fitness, in addition to instilling the values of belonging and loyalty to the nation. The event carries a symbolic character that reflects the appreciation of the sacrifices of martyrs whose memory is immortalized in Wahat Al-Karama, one of the most prominent national landmarks in the United Arab Emirates. The race will be held in a single category over a distance of 5 kilometers, which allows for participation from all ages and fitness levels. He noted that the 'Your Shield, My Nation' race carries a deep humanitarian and national message, bringing together sports and appreciation for the efforts of the first line of defense in the field of honor and dignity, and enhancing the spirit of belonging and cohesion among community members. He explained that the race is a community experience open to everyone who considers the UAE their homeland to express their belonging and loyalty, regardless of their backgrounds, nationalities, and speeds. He added that the Organizing Committee ensured that participation in the race is free of charge, providing the highest standards of organization and safety, and called on the community to actively participate in this event that reflects a bright image of the unity of the Emirati community.
