
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid al-Qasimi, Minister of Culture, stated that "The World Media Congress can create an effective platform, around which outstanding experts, specialists, and journalists from the Arab and global community will gather to meet, exchange ideas and experiences, and discuss many current problems that the SMIs system faces in our time, especially in light of developing events on various fronts, whether they are political, social, economic or technological."
Regarding the third World Media Congress held on the 26th of this month, he added: "This event in the capital Abu Dhabi contributes to strengthening the UAE's position as a global center for dialogue and interaction in the field of modern media, especially since it is a native home to many Arab and global media organizations, which make it their base."
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid al-Qasimi emphasized that thanks to the wise directives of the UAE's leadership, the UAE has managed to consolidate its leadership among countries that support innovations in media sectors, which allows the Ministry of Culture to continue supporting these efforts by strengthening cooperation with media and cultural institutions and continuing to launch new initiatives aimed at equipping journalists and creative individuals to follow technological trends and challenges of the digital age.
He pointed out that the rapid development in the media sector requires following the latest trends and technologies, as well as searching for new ways of presenting media content that are more innovative and influential, and the successful implementation of the latest technologies to improve the mission of information institutions.
