The International recognition was awarded to the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center and Yas Clinic for the collection of stem cells from blood by AABB, previously known as the American Association of Blood Banks. This is the first case of such recognition in the United Arab Emirates and the second in the Middle East and North Africa region. This recognition confirms the obligation to develop cell therapies, adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety, as well as innovations in patient care within the framework of the Abu Dhabi program for the transplantation of cord blood and the immunotherapy program based on genetic modification of cells, referred to as 'CAR-T', as well as similar therapy programs with stem cells. Professor Janderi Ventura, General Director of the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center, stated: 'The receipt of this recognition confirms our commitment to the development of cell therapies, adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety, as well as an innovative approach to patient care.'
