Company 'Seha', part of the 'PureHealth' group, has announced the introduction of 'laser kidney stone lithotripsy' technology for children in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. This medical achievement reflects its commitment to developing specialized healthcare services for children and enhancing access to advanced treatment solutions for complex kidney stone cases. This announcement follows the treatment of a nine-month-old child who was suffering from kidney stones due to a rare genetic disorder known as 'cystinuria', the same disorder affecting his two-year-old brother. The child underwent an urgent procedure to place a stent at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City to alleviate a kidney blockage, followed by laser sessions to break down the stones.
