On January 4, the Zayed National Museum will launch the 'Hour of Calm' initiative. This is a monthly experience designed to meet the needs of visitors with disabilities and sensory disorders by providing a calm and welcoming environment in the museum. The 'Hour of Calm' will be held on the first Sunday of each month from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. During this time, the museum will open its doors to visitors an hour before the usual opening time. The selected spaces within the museum will feature softer lighting, lower sound levels, and specially adapted settings to support visitors with developmental disorders such as autism, ADHD, and others. This will create a suitable environment for those who may face difficulties due to sensory overload, as well as support families, schools, and visitors who prefer a quieter experience inside the museum.
