Abu Dhabi Launches 25 Initiatives to Boost National Health

The Abu Dhabi Government Program for Prevention and Wellness, «Healthy Life», has highlighted a comprehensive set of strategic initiatives under the emirate's Healthy Life Strategy. These 25 initiatives are implemented in cooperation with government and private sector partners. The goal is to promote active lifestyles and healthy nutrition, achieve sustainable behavioral changes, and enhance community health. The event was attended by Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktom, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Development and Sports Competitiveness Sector at the Ministry of Sports, and Dr. Hussein Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Public Health Sector. It also brought together a select group of cadres, experts, and specialists from health and other concerned entities across the country. Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, stated that the Ministry of Health and Community Prevention organized an «Innovation Lab for Initiatives to Enhance the Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases». This lab will develop quality initiatives to support the shift towards healthier and more sustainable lifestyles and improve the results of the National Chronic Diseases Index. This, in turn, supports the goals of «We the UAE 2031» vision, which aims to establish an advanced, integrated health system focused on enhancing the quality of life and supporting healthy lifestyles. Currently, 25 initiatives are being implemented under the umbrella of the Healthy Life Strategy, spanning five main areas: enhancing infrastructure, programs, developing evidence-based policies and regulations, health education and awareness, and improving access to health interventions.
