Abu Dhabi: The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi announced the closure of a health facility and the referral of its workers to the Public Prosecution for violating the laws and regulations governing the health sector. Investigations revealed that the facility issued sick leave certificates for a monetary fee without the patients' actual presence, in clear violation, in addition to a number of other violations detected by the department's inspection and supervision teams. It was confirmed that the closure decision and license suspension will continue until the legal and disciplinary procedures are concluded. The department also stressed that it will continue to intensify its inspection and supervision efforts and will not tolerate any practices or manipulations that violate the laws and regulations regulating the health sector, to preserve the safety of the community and the integrity of the system.
