
The Minister of Community Development Sheikh bin Suheil Al-Mazrui, a member of the Federal National Council of the World Sultan Al-Suveidi, and a doctoral candidate in information technology at New York University in Abu Dhabi, Takwa Al-Hanaei, have been elected to the Council of Young World Leaders 2025. This election reflects the important role that youth in the UAE play in leadership, decision-making, and the formulation of supportive strategies for sustainable development in various sectors.
This is yet another step in the long-term strategy to support women in the UAE and ensure they have all the necessary resources for active participation in various areas. The World Economic Forum selects its representatives for membership from the young generation, under 40 years of age, including social activists, businesspeople, social entrepreneurs, as well as professionals and specialists in the field of education, social, and cultural sciences.
Sheikha Al-Mazrui previously held the position of Minister of Community Development, and from 2024 she will head the Ministry of Community Development. She was also the Minister of Youth Affairs from 2016. Mira Al-Suveidi serves as a member of the National Council of the UAE and also works in a major investment company.
Takwa Al-Hanaei specializes in the interaction between humans and computers, developing systems for measuring human experience. Her works are published in leading international publications. This candidate for the academic degree was awarded the MIT Technology Review award as one of the best young innovators in the region. Against the backdrop of these achievements, the important presence of young leaders from the UAE on the global stage is highlighted, emphasizing their outstanding role in shaping the future world.
