The seventh edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTecX) will be held from January 20 to 22, 2026, at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. Both events are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board for the Self-Reliant Systems. The Tawazun Council for Defense Development will participate in these exhibitions, as well as the accompanying International Defense Conference, which will take place on January 19 under the theme 'Smart Horizons: Redefining Defense Sector Autonomy through AI Applications.' Over the three days of the exhibition, the Council will also announce contracts signed on behalf of the Ministry of Defense. Dr. Naser Humaid Al-Naimi, Secretary-General of the Tawazun Council, expressed the Council's aspiration to participate in these events, which align with its strategic goals of enabling national capabilities, fostering research and development, and supporting specialized national industries, particularly in unmanned systems, simulation and training, and artificial intelligence. He also emphasized the importance of the exhibitions as a vital platform for the defense industry to strengthen its relationships with leading global institutions and companies specializing in unmanned systems. Saif Ali Al-Marzooki, First Advisor for Strategic and Executive Affairs at the Council, stated that the Tawazun pavilion will serve as a platform to showcase the Council's projects, initiatives, and its direction for excellence in the defense industry. He added that the Council's pavilion will allow visitors to learn about the Tawazun Industrial Complex and a group of companies supported by the Council, specializing in unmanned systems, robotics, and drones, such as Sandan, AirQ, Falcon IX, and Analog.
