The UAE has advanced its global water diplomacy efforts during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, under the leadership of Abdullah Al Alaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability. A series of high-level meetings were held with government representatives, the private sector, financial institutions, youth, and civil society to shape practical contributions and boost international momentum for the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference. Key focus areas included mobilizing investments, empowering youth, and enhancing the resilience of agricultural and food systems to address global water challenges.
