Nasser Al-Zahiri, the director of marine sports management, expressed gratitude to the participants for their successful event. "Thanks to our collective efforts and spirit of teamwork, the first phase of the tournament was completed successfully," he noted.
The first stage of the Women's Championship in Abu Dhabi for fishing was completed with great success. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Yacht Club, it immediately attracted popularity among women. First place was taken by Muna Mohammed Al-Hamadi, who caught a fish weighing 8.58 kg. Following her were Maryam Hasan Al-Marzuqi with a catch of 5.66 kg and Sheikh Mohammed Al-Harusi with a catch of 5.50 kg.
The competition began at nine in the morning at various fishing locations and lasted for two hours after noon.
