Quarterfinal Matches of Mansour Bin Zayed Cup Tonight

Today at 21:00, the quarterfinal matches of the Mansur bin Zayed Football Cup 2025 tournament will begin at the Emirates Palace Hotel stadium in Abu Dhabi. The draw for the quarterfinals took place yesterday after the group stage ended: the team from the General Secretariat Office will meet with the team from the National Archive and Library, the National School of Engineers with the Support Sector, and the Judicial Palace with the Office of Special Issues, while the Office for Civil and Social Affairs will meet with the Finance and Procurement Sector. The Legal Department team, holder of last year's title, unexpectedly withdrew from the tournament in the group stage, losing the match in extra time to the Engineering and Technical Projects Sector with a score of 0:1. The Legal Department had enough draws to advance to the next stage, but Mamadu Fall’s goal secured victory and advancement to the quarterfinals for the Engineering and Technical Projects Sector, which is represented by Isa Grigori. The quarterfinals also included the team from the Civil Affairs and Society Office, winning with a score of 4:0 against the Engineering Sector of the State Security Service, thanks to goals from Mustafa Arapa (2), Germa Santos, and Bassem Abdelsalam. After yesterday's matches, the Civil Affairs and Society Office team topped Group D with seven points, in second place – the Engineering and Technical Projects Sector (6 points), while the Legal Department finished with 4 points. The organizing committee of the tournament invited fans to attend the quarterfinal matches and offered prizes, surprises, as well as sports competitions and entertainment games in the Fan Zone supported by the UAE Professional League. It is expected that the quarterfinal matches will be tense, given the close results in the group stage and the high level of team preparation participating in the tournament's twelfth edition.
