The Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club kicked off its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Swimming Championship with a brilliant performance, securing 20 medals on the first day of competition. The club won 5 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze medals, marking a strong start that reflects the team's readiness and the high level of training the club provides for its swimmers.The championship, held from December 12 to 15, 2025, at the Mohammed bin Zayed City pool, has seen wide participation from local and international teams and academies. The first day of competition featured strong showings from swimmers of various technical levels, as well as a tight race for the top spots. The most notable results from international teams on the first day came from the Azerbaijani team, which won 12 medals, including 4 gold. The Mahi team from the Seychelles secured 3 gold and 1 bronze medal, while the Algerian Olympic team also claimed 4 gold medals. The Madagascan team won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals, the Australian Camden team took home one bronze, and the Lebanese Decathlon achieved 4 gold medals.Among local academies, the Tyn Side team continued its stellar performance by winning 50 medals of various colors, while the Apex team added 7 medals to its tally, strengthening their strong presence in the local sports scene.The Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club stood out as one of the clubs most frequently on the podium, as its athletes delivered an impressive performance that reflects the development of their skills and readiness to compete, confirming the club's status as a prominent force in swimming championships.The championship competitions will continue today and tomorrow amid expectations of more excitement and achievements, given the high level of competition among the teams and the high ambitions of all participants.
