'Al-Samawi' had an excellent first half, posing a constant threat to the Al-Wahda goal. Al-Wahda applied pressure in the second half, seeking an equalizer, and were presented with a golden opportunity to do so after Bani Yas midfielder Yahya Nader was sent off in the 84th minute.
