Romanian coach Cosmin Olariu, head coach of the UAE national football team, has announced a 24-player squad for a training camp to be held in Abu Dhabi from March 23 to 30. The list was missing goalkeeper Khalid Eisa of Al Ain and the Al-Sharjah duo Caio Lucas and Luan Pereira. The squad included new players, most notably the young Al-Ahli duo Pala and Yuri Cesar, and Al-Sharjah striker Ousmane Camara.
