Al Jazira thwarted the surprise from their guest Dibba, turning a one-goal deficit into a 4-3 victory in the match held this evening at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, as part of the 22nd round of the Professional League. The match was attended by about 1,500 spectators. Al Jazira boosted its position to third place with 40 points, widening the gap to four points with its closest pursuers, while Dibba's situation worsened, with their points total frozen at 17, placing them last. This marks the third time in the history of their direct encounters (14 matches) that Al Jazira has achieved a league double (winning both home and away) in a single season, after the 2016-2017 and 2022-2023 seasons. Dibba was the first to score through Carlos Vinicius in the 18th minute, but Al Jazira's reaction was not long in coming, with Mohamed Rabie quickly equalizing in the 19th minute. Nabil Fakir added Al Jazira's second goal in the 39th minute, ending the first half with his team leading 2-1. With the start of the second half, Al Jazira managed to extend its lead to 3-0 with a goal from Vinicius Mello in the 50th minute, while Dibba narrowed the gap through Andrej Arujo in the 63rd minute. Vinicius Mello returned in the 75th minute to score his second personal goal and the fourth for his team with a brilliant backheel, before Dibba scored its third goal through Medina Bedja in the 88th minute. However, this was not enough to avoid defeat.
