Yas Racing, owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has won the Owner of the Year title for the 2025-2026 season for the second consecutive time at the fifth awards ceremony of the Emirates Racing Authority. The announcement was made on Saturday at Abu Dhabi Racecourse during the final race meeting, in the presence of Mohammed Saeed Al Shaheen, Director General of the Emirates Racing Authority. Yas Racing secured the Owner of the Year title with 49 wins, 47 second places, and 48 third places out of a total of 484 participations. Bobat Simar was crowned the Trainers' Champion with 50 wins, while Brazilian jockey Sylvester de Sousa won the Jockeys' Championship with 54 wins, and Hamd Al Busaidi became the Apprentice Jockeys' Champion with 17 wins. In the final race of the season for Arabian and Thoroughbred horses, 'Azzam' trained by Kais Aboud and ridden by jockey Sandro Paiva won the Triple Crown Final (Category 3) over 2200 meters, with prize money of 300,000 dirhams. 'Yarmouk' from Yas Racing, trained by Majed Al Jahouri and ridden by Sylvester de Sousa, clinched the Al Asail (B) title over 2200 meters for horses aged 4 and older, with prize money of 33,000 dirhams. 'Burak Al Madam', owned by Saif Yaser Al Shamsi, trained by Mohammed Al Shamsi, and ridden by jockey Aness Al Siyabi, topped the 'Native Bloodline' race for Thoroughbreds over 1600 meters for horses aged 4 and older, with prize money of 66,000 dirhams. The horse 'Bouler du Gazal', owned by Obaid Ali Al Murra, trained by Hamd Al Murra, and ridden by jockey Bernardo Piniereo, outperformed its competitors to win the 'Glory of the Nation' race over 1600 meters for horses aged 4 and older, with prize money of 66,000 dirhams. 'Amersif Act' from Sotaid and Potaid Racing, trained by Bobat Simar and ridden by Kais Al Busaidi, won the 'Turf Club Crown' race over 1400 meters for horses aged 3 and older, with prize money of 66,000 dirhams. 'Jeron' from Ajmal Stables, trained by Musbeh Al Mahiri and ridden by Sylvester de Sousa, secured the 'Al Wathba Stallions' Cup for private stables over 1200 meters for horses aged 4 and older, with prize money of 70,000 dirhams. The filly 'Vierra', owned by Abdullah Mubarak bin Habooh, trained by Hamd Al Murra, and ridden by jockey Bernardo Piniereo, shone in the fifth race over 2200 meters, winning the Al Asail (A) title for horses aged 4 and older, with prize money of 33,000 dirhams. The final race also saw 'Leman Adelphais', trained by Bobat Simar and ridden by jockey Ray Dawson, win the Grand Capital Final over 2400 meters for horses aged 3 and older, with prize money of 66,000 dirhams.
