
In Abu Dhabi on Thursday at 21:00 (UAE time) there will be a match between Al Ahli and Zamalek as part of the final of the Egyptian Super Cup. Both teams go onto the field with different goals: Al Ahli aims to recover from their previous losses in the African Super Cup, while Zamalek seeks to confirm their dominance.
In the semifinals of the Super Cup, Al Ahli defeated the team of Sirama Klopatra with a score of 2:1, while Zamalek won against Pyramids 5:4 in a penalty shootout after a 1:1 draw in regular time.
Before the match with Zamalek, Al Ahli’s coaching staff reported that defenders Ashraf Darwish and Khalid Abdelfattah will miss the game due to injuries. However, four players – Usama Abu Ali, Rami Rabia, Tamer Mohammed, and Omar Kamal – are ready to participate in the final.
The overall list of absentees for the match also includes Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Hani, Karim Fouad, and Mahmoud Kherba, who returned to Cairo after being excluded from the roster. Among the players of Zamalek missing for the match will be Ahmed Fatouh, Hossam Ashraf, Mahab Yasir, Mohammed Atef, Saif Farouk Jaffar, Samson Akinyola, Mahmoud Hamdi, Mohammed Abdelshafi, Ahmed Hamdi, Sidi Ndai, and Mustafa Shalabi, for various reasons such as injuries, transfer issues, and individual problems.
