Starting from today, Abu Dhabi Yacht Club is hosting the first stage of a sailing regatta with around 40 participants in the Optimist and Laser classes.
The president of the Academy of Marine Sports of Abu Dhabi Khalifa Al-Suwaidi confirmed that the race is distinguished by the experience of participants, their technical skills, contributing to the refinement of their abilities and increasing readiness for future sporting challenges.
He stated: "The great interest shown by participants in participating reflects the drive to develop their skills and achieve excellence in sailing through direct competition in the professional environment, within the framework of the efforts of Abu Dhabi Yacht Club to raise the levels of this type of sport and enhance its effectiveness among the youth of the Emirates."
