The Bike Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo starts on November 26, announced Mukhamed Zhalil Al Behly, the acting head of the Municipal Council of Abu Dhabi. He reported that the competition, held in Italy in April of this year, was successful.
"We are happy to welcome you on the streets of Abu Dhabi to participate in the test of speed and ambition," commented Hamad Al Dhaheri, head of the Municipal Council of Abu Dhabi.
Participants will be able to showcase their sports skills by covering unique local distances.
"We offer a unique competition that enriches the experience of cycling enthusiasts and gives them the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and history of our beautiful homeland," added Mubarak Al Demashki, the director of the Department of Festivals and Cultural Events in Abu Dhabi.
As part of the competition, there will also be the Chicago Intercontinental Abu Dhabi Family Ride for the whole family.
The first place in the race over a distance of 205 km for the men's age group will receive $30,000, while the second and third places will receive $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.
