The Ajman Businesswomen's Council held a session at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce under the theme «Sustainable Agriculture» with the slogan «The Role of Women in Agricultural Development». The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of agricultural projects, encourage women and female entrepreneurs to invest in the agricultural sector, and highlight the best practices in sustainable agriculture and its role in supporting food security. The session, held at the «Thira for Entrepreneurship» center, was presented by the founding partner and Vice President of the «Grassia» group, Farah Shahashiro, in the presence of a number of council members and employees of government entities. Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, President of the Ajman Businesswomen's Council, stated: «The Council is paying increasing attention to agricultural projects by raising awareness and educating its members about investment opportunities in modern and sustainable agriculture. This vital sector offers real opportunities to diversify income sources, enhance food security, and innovate smart agricultural solutions based on modern technologies and efficient resource use». She stressed the Council's commitment to intensifying its cooperation with agricultural development expertise to provide programs and initiatives that empower women to start successful agricultural projects that contribute to achieving sustainability and supporting the local economy, alongside providing training and awareness platforms that enhance the efficiency of women entrepreneurs and prepare them to confidently enter this vital sector. She also explained that the Council is working on the «Plant and Harvest» initiative by implementing projects for cooled plastic agricultural greenhouses and helping women to produce organic agricultural crops in a suitable environment throughout the year, confirming that the Council's initiatives for the current year align with the targets of the Family Year 2026. Farah Shahashiro praised the women's empowerment in the country and the government's focus on entrepreneurial projects, as she presented a number of inspiring success stories to the audience.
