The chess tournament marathon has been held for the eleventh year, and this year it started on Tuesday in the Kandy region of Alaiyn.
60 players are participating in the event, competing for a prize fund of $10,000. The organizers noted the high level of participants in the tournament. One of the players stated: "I have a chance to win, but it will not be easy due to the strong competition."
The chess master Akhmed Khalifa al-Zaabi expressed gratitude to the organizers and said: "This tournament stimulates the development of chess sports in the region and helps promote it among the youth."
The winner will be awarded a trophy and a cash prize.
