The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, part of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, honored the winners of the fourth season of the "Kanz Al-Jeel" Award during a ceremony hosted at "Al-Muwayji Palace" on the first day of the Al Ain Book Festival 2025, which the center is organizing from the 24th to the 30th of the current month.
Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Khalifa Al-Mubarak, said: "We are proud of what the 'Kanz Al-Jeel' Award has achieved, whose name is derived from a poem by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God rest his soul. We confirm that it is an important stop on a long journey of supporting creativity and excellence, and we hope that this award will be an incentive for future generations of poets, researchers, and artists to present valuable poetic works inspired by the unique creative experience of the founding father."
In the "Arts" category, the Egyptian artist Nagat Farouk Suleiman won for her painting "I came out of my eyes with tears" for its distinctive visual composition and conceptual depth. In the "Poetic Publications" category, the Kuwaiti poet Hamid Zaid won for his divan "And the mountain remained." In the "Poetic Mimesis" category, the Omani poet Al-Harithi Ali won for his poem "Echo of Light" for its perfect alignment with the poem of the late Sheikh Zayed, "I came out of her eyes with tears." In the "Studies and Research" category, the Emirati writer and researcher Ali Abu Rish won for his book "Zayed: Poetic Worlds Whose Ceiling is the Horizon."
In the "Creative Personality" category, the Emirati poet Mohamed Rashid Al-Shamsi won in recognition of his prolific output and distinguished contribution throughout his career, which dates back to the 1970s.
The winner in the "Creative Personality" category will receive a title, a gold plaque bearing the award's logo, a certificate of appreciation, and 500,000 dirhams, while each winner in the other categories will receive a gold plaque, a certificate of appreciation, and a prize of 200,000 dirhams.
