Abu Dhabi launches cultural trail in Al Ain

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi has launched the 'Cultural Trails in Al Ain' project, an interactive exploratory route that takes visitors on an immersive journey through the historic Al-Jimi and Al-Qattara oases in the city of Al Ain. The trail aims to enhance the understanding of Al Ain's authentic cultural character and solidify its position as a leading cultural destination. This trail, which will run until December 31 of this year, offers a variety of cultural experiences that reflect the spirit of Al Ain and its civilizational wealth along its 1.4 km stretch. Along the way, visitors can stop at multiple experimental and interactive stations to explore aspects of the city's culture, history, and natural environment. Visitors can also experience immersion in the city's rich, living heritage through immersive cultural programs and visits to historic houses and mosques that are still vibrant, where stories are told and traditions are preserved as passed down by ancestors through generations. The 'Cultural Trails in Al Ain' project is being held concurrently with the 'Manarat Al Ain' exhibition, where it will be available to visitors during the period of the light-based installations exhibition. The trail serves as an extension of the immersive experience offered by the exhibition, delving into the oasis to deepen visitors' connection to Al Ain's unique cultural identity, while simultaneously integrating the light-based installations of 'Manarat Al Ain' into Al Ain's natural landscape, incorporating them into the emirate's overall artistic map.
