Al Ain Zoo Welcomes 390 Newborns

From January to December, Al Ain Zoo welcomed the birth of approximately 390 animals, 65% of which are endangered species. This success reflects the zoo's effective breeding programs and its commitment to wildlife conservation and biodiversity. The list of newborns includes Arabian oryx, Arabian gazelle, African dorcas gazelle, African spurred tortoise, Barbary sheep, Arabian oryx, Arabian tahr, impala, Arabian oryx, and other species. The zoo's care teams work tirelessly to provide the ideal environmental conditions for these animals through balanced nutrition, meticulous health monitoring, and the application of the latest scientific practices to ensure the well-being of both mothers and their young. In 2025, the zoo also recorded data for 18 species across various taxa through the global 'ZIMS' program, which specializes in documenting and managing animal data in international zoos.
