The match between "Al-Ain" and "Al-Jazira" in the 2017 season was one of the most difficult moments. This was stated by former international referee Jacob Al-Hamadi. He noted that the refereeing for the representation of the emirate's referee at the world championship in 2026 between referees Adil Al-Nakbi and Omar Al-Ali is equal, and the decision between them will depend on the use of this opportunity for achieving high physical and mental preparation and managing previous matches at a high level without mistakes.
"For me, officiating brought glory, lights of the projector, satisfaction, challenges, and freedom. I entered every match I refereed with a strong desire to be successful," said Al-Hamadi. He also noted that one of the most difficult moments for him was the match between "Al-Ain" and "Al-Jazira" in 2017, as he was the deciding referee for both teams. He recalled other difficult matches he officiated, including the final of the President's Cup between "Al-Wahda" and "Al-Nasr" in May 2017.
Al-Hamadi began his officiating career in 2005, received an international license in 2015, and was included in the list of elite referees in Asia in 2016. He completed his career in 2020 after a series of tournaments. Among the matches he recognized as the most difficult and memorable, Al-Hamadi recalled the match between "Al-Wahda" and "Al-Jazira" in January 2017, where in the first half three players from "Al-Wahda" were sent off. He also noted that energetically he officiated a friendly match between "Al-Ahli" from Egypt and "Roma" from Italy in May 2016.
