The women's competitions of the Open UAE Cup for air rifle shooting began on Saturday at the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club. The tournament, for citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council countries, is organized by the Firearms and Dangerous Materials Office from December 20 to 24. The organizing committee confirmed that the first day of competitions is for women's events, while men's qualifiers will be held from December 21 to 23 to select the top 30 results to advance to the finals on December 24. The finalists will compete for the gold medal and a cash prize of 100,000 dirhams for first place, the silver medal and 40,000 dirhams for second place, and the bronze medal and 30,000 dirhams for third place.
