The United Arab Emirates will host the final stage of the 2025-2026 Mena Golf Tour season, taking place from March 30 to April 1 at the Al Ain Equestrian, Racing & Golf Club. Over three rounds, players will compete for a prize fund of $100,000 and the title of season champion. The Mena Tour is a leading Emirati initiative and the only one in the region to have official status and award international ranking points. The current season has been a success, with tournaments held in Portugal and Egypt, before concluding in Morocco, Jordan, and Qatar, after which top players will head to Al Ain for the grand final. The Al Ain Golf Club boasts a distinguished sporting history, having hosted the Abu Dhabi Challenge tournament for two consecutive years, cementing its status as one of the premier tournament venues in the region. The course design features water hazards on most holes and a horse racetrack running alongside several fairways, demanding high precision from players. The 10th hole, at 678 yards, stands out as one of the main challenges. The club also offers Olympic and international-standard facilities for equestrian sports, shooting, rugby, and cricket. Mohammed Rashid Al-Nasiri, the club's general manager, stated that hosting an event recognized by the International Golf Federation is a new source of pride and contributes to the development of professional golf in the country and the region, providing a platform for emerging talents. English golfer Garrick Porteous, based in Dubai and winner of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Challenge on the same course, expressed his pride in returning to Al Ain. He highlighted the difficulty of the course, especially in the latter half, and the impact of the wind, while also praising the high level of organization and technical condition of the course. All eyes in the tournament will be on Emirati professional golfer Ahmed Skeik, who has extensive experience playing on this course and will carry the hopes of Emirati golf into the season's finale. Skeik affirmed that returning to Al Ain as a professional and representing his country on home soil in the season's final is a special milestone in his career. He praised the role of the Mena Tour in supporting player development and providing a clear path to professionalism. The Al Ain tournament concludes a season that has spanned Europe and the Middle East, with each stage offering $100,000 in prize money and international ranking points. The title of season champion will remain undecided until the final stroke on the soil of the United Arab Emirates.
