Mountain Race at Jebel Hafeet Tops Haith Sports Challenge

On the third day of the 'Haith Sports Challenge' in Al Ain, UAE, a mountain race was held at Jebel Hafeet and Green Mizar. 800 athletes from 43 countries competed. Medals were awarded in running over 1, 3, and 5 km distances, as well as in pistol and rifle shooting.

The running race at Jebel Hafeet and Green Mizar was the highlight of the third day of the 'Haith Sports Challenge', with 800 participants from 43 nationalities. The event was attended by the Director General of Al Ain Municipality, Rashid Musbah Al Mune, and the Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, Salem Rashid bin Haderem Al Kotbi. The race was held across three tracks: a 1 km track for beginners, children, and families; a 3 km track for the intermediate age group (16-20 years); and a 5 km track for the advanced and open category. Notably, among the participants were the Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Arif Hamad Al Awani, and the CEO of Al Ain Investment Club, Rashid Abdullah, reflecting the community aspect of the event and the commitment of sports leaders to support initiatives that promote sports culture and physical activity in society. In the 5 km race, runner Yaser Al Shashawi won first place with a time of 13:57 minutes, followed by Ismail Al Harashi in second place with a time of 14:02 minutes, and Naif Al Asa'i in third place with a time of 14:17 minutes. In the 3 km race, runner Abdel-Saada Al Hibaz won first place with a time of 9:16 minutes, followed by Muhammad Hajou in second place with a time of 9:29 minutes, and Nasser Al Kaabi in third place with a time of 9:53 minutes. In the 1 km race, Ali Salah came in first with a time of 2:48 minutes, followed by Rashid Abdullah Al Alawi in second place with a time of 2:49 minutes, and Ahmad Mishal Saleh in third place with a time of 2:51 minutes. In the 1 km category for people of determination, Muhammad Al Zahiri won first place with a time of 5:48 minutes. Shooting results. Ali Mubarak Abdullah Salem Abdullah won first place in the men's 9mm pistol competition with a score of 193 points, followed by Abdullah Al Naqbi in second place with the same score, and Abdullah Salem Al Manahli in third place. In the men's 'Saketon' rifle competition, Naif Said Al Khaliari won first place with a score of 204.5 points, followed by Hamadan Naser Saleh Al Muharrami in second place with a score of 204.2 points, and Muhammad Salem Saleed Al Qaidi in third place with a score of 203.8 points.
